Personal development, health and physical education

Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from kindergarten to Year 10.

As outlined by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), students in Kindergarten through to Year 6 engage in Physical Development, Health, and Physical Education (PDHPE) for approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours per week.

PDHPE curriculum offers students avenues to delve into topics relevant to their health, safety, and overall well-being, both presently and in the future. Through this program, students also partake in stimulating physical activities aimed at enhancing their coordination, skillset, and self-assurance in movement.

At Bardia Public School, students have access to a range of sporting enrichment activities. These include representing our school at GALA days tailored to their preferred sports, selection opportunities for South Western Sydney Sporting Teams, and engaging in inter-school knockout competitions
