Aboriginal Education

At Bardia, we are committed to celebrating and respecting the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our Aboriginal Education program plays a vital role in fostering understanding, inclusion, and pride within our school community. To that end, we have longstanding relationships with our local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and community to find ways for our students to access an inclusive and equitable education.

Strengthening community through art. Our Deadly Buraay students and their families created a mural that tells a story of our connection to the Dharawal bushland, the Georges River and the rising sun. This mural symbolises community and strength. You can read more about Bardia's mural in the T4L magazine.

Bardia's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation. It documents how your school or early learning service will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school/service and with the community.

Through Bardia's Reconciliation Action Plan, we actively promote meaningful relationships, cultural awareness, and opportunities for all students to learn and grow together. We believe that embracing reconciliation enriches our school environment and empowers every learner to contribute to a more inclusive and respectful future.

We would love you to join our RAP and walk with us towards reconciliation. You can read more about Bardia's RAP here.
